One of the two posts I made was an official MS KB fix. It was made about 10 days ago. I think this is as real as it gets.
I know you are reluctant to make the fix, but at least the text describes the situation I think you are in. I think the problem stems from a combination of particular hardware and software. I have win2003 server sp2 and can not make the problem happen. If I could, we would be using my machine for MS to diagnose.
I am still on my trip (New York today, San Diego tomorrow). How was Europe? We missed you in Las Vegas.
