As Barb mentioned in her first reply....
When you did the update of the CometServerProducts,
The security Server is Checked by Default. (See CSPNormal.jpg)
Having this checked WILL cause the necessary info to be written into the CometNTService.ini
Having it unchecked will mean that the Security Server will not start by default (see CSPBAD.jPg)
If you do not want to attempt to find the CometNTServices.ini file in the windows folder where the CometServer Products was installed, then I would suggest you REINSTALL the CometServer Products and make sure the Security SERVER is checked.
If you care to investigate first I also uploaded a copy of a CometNTService.INI file
You would be looking to see if your clients has a section like....
CommandLine=CSecSrv.exe
PauseStart=1000
PauseEnd=1000
UserInterface=Yes
Finally,
If you do have such a section in the CometNTService.INI file and your Security Server is still not starting, then something else weird is going on.
I suggest you post a copy of the CometNTService.INI to this board so Barb can see what is going on.
If you can not do it because you have Remote Control with no file transfer, then see if the client can do it.
Or write it all down and post that.
Barb, please correct any invalid info.
