I guess if you wanted to compare apples to apples you would turn CLEAR TYPE on. All I am saying is that I like AERO and want to leave it turned on. That is part of the VISTA experience. Microsoft has never developed an OS that was faster than the previous OS. Thus my DOS statement. It would not surprise me that a 933 Mhz PC running Win 98 and Comet 504 would out perform a Comet 2007 running XP. The GUI is what slows things down. AERO is a hog. Totally agree!! That is why you need a beefy video card.. I just have a view point that differs from the HATE Microsoft bloggers..
