It's getting cleared for me - but not by DbMgr. When you click CLOSE the normal exit is to DataExpress which will overwrite the status line of the window. Are you using a DbExit program to direct it elsewhere? If so, that explains it. I can change it so the status line is reset before leaving DbMgr so it won't matter where you go next.
