Brian:

The Watch list from screen shot #2 shows all the path info from FindFile and it looks OK to me. Nonetheless, I tried more stuff today because I vaguely remembered a problem, in the past, copying DLL files using Comet utilities. Since I had used Qtilities #3 and #4 and CometEx, I tried several of those again with no luck.

So back to scratch. I erased the DLL and INC files from PAC and CH1. Had VS rebuild the DLL and INC in PAC. Ran the OBJ from PAC and the DLL was found. Windows Explorer copied the DDL and INC to CH1. Ran the OBJ from CH1. Worked. Added a QDIR entry for the DLL and INC to both PAC and CH1. Still works.

As I write this I've remembered what my vaguely remembered problem was. I had used DOSCOPY to copy a directory from my development PC over to my demo server. The dialog worked fine. I then copied, probably Qtilities #4, the DLL and OBJ to another directory. Ran the OBJ from that directory and the DLL couldn't be found. Finally, I used DOSCOPY to copy down just the DLL and OBJ and all was well again.
