I have been hoping that someone else would answer this. If you search through this forum for Citrix you will see a consistent message from Signature discouraging it. As you know, Citrix and terminal services are almost the same technology.

Ever since your first post on this thread, I have been working to change our dir alias code to support use of environment variables such as %USERPROFILE%. I was hoping to include this code in the 386 build, but I am having problems getting it to work consistently.

I realize that this is not entirely the solution you are looking for, but it seems to me that making a change to the location of the COSW.INI file would open us up to a greater probability for problems.

Let me at least restate the problem. COSW looks for the COSW.INI file in D&S/all users. If it does not find it there, it looks in D&S/user name. If it does not find it there, it CREATES it in D&S/all users. Once it is created in all users, every other COSW.INI on the machine is ignored.

I know you sys-admins out there are frustrated with this aspect of Comet. I am frustrated too. The whole design of the COSW.INI file and directory aliases in general was done before active directories and Citrix/Terminal services were available. I do not think we have a satisfactory answer to this problem yet, but when we do, we will let you know and perhaps you can be a beta tester.
