RAW means pass the print stream straight thru to the printer. A lot of us had programs that were written with PCL commands to control dot matrix printers. A lot of customers kept their old green bar printers. Some had lasers where the laser was setup with an internal font that was 16.66 CPI and 66 lines per page. RAW kept all this going. Few program changes, if any, during a Q TO Comet conversion.

COOKED was a joke, I think, being the opposite of RAW. I don't think you'll find ":COOKED" in the documentation as a parameter for a printer.

To me the preassigned names of Font-0 thru 2 were wrong. Font-0 should have been compressed. We all wanted lasers to print 17cpi without doing any extra setup. "Standard colors"? Nobody wants those. Diehards want DOS colors, everybody else wants Windows colors. Unnecessary work when setting up workstations. My Dad wanted to call me RANT. He compromised with my Mom. So I'm GRANT :)

Look at FFCLOSE. Programs and utilities printing to a green bar printer might not separate reports they way you want. Report two might start where report one finished, in mid page.

Documentation :) The wiki project looks promising. Meanwhile post here. There are lots of Q refugees here to help.
