Strange behavior on INPUT...>

This one has got me stumped. I have any number of programs that allow my customers to process local apps at remote locations. Examples are programs that grab an output file from Worldship or FedEx of tracking numbers, use the CopyFile mnemonic to transfer the file to the file server and then process the contents. I've just constructed a program to grab a file uploaded from a handheld barcode scanner. The file is transferred and then updated to receiving files. My problem is at the end of the program when I print a screen message showing the number of records processed, my message writing routine that instructs the operator to check the number of receipts and ENTER to return to the menu no longer sees the
INPUT statement. It's as if the INPUT buffer on Lun 0 has a Forced Transmit in it. Attached is a sample program with the processing stripped out but the file transfer intact. At the end of the program
I've had to add line 304, a additional INPUT statement, in order to
get my Message Writer message to display. If line 304 is commented out my Message Writer prompt does not wait for an input! You'll have to establish a directory alias in order to test. Tom.
