Ahh that explains a bit more.
FYI, I was never talking about a Create function in the DOS world that would create files.
I was referring to the Comet World Function to Create a DOS File.

As for programming outside of Comet, what you say still holds true, even in Visual Basic today, there is no function to "create" a file. You simply tell VB to write to a file(i.e. open it) and if the file does not exist, the file will be created.

Though the Comet world function, probably does the same thing, it is called CREATE DOS FILE in Comet.
