Finally got Vista/Adobe 8/Comet to work together. Here's the scoop: Barb/Brian made a small change to COSP.exe and I loaded it onto my start up Comet directory. In the properties page of Adobe 8 go to PRINTING PREFERENCES, for the Adobe Output folder select "My Documents\*.pdf". Next, set up Comet (SYSGEN) for an Adobe printer and DocMgr. Unload Comet, click START then PROGRAMS, ACCESSORIES, right click COMMAND PROMPT and select "Run as Administrator". At the command line enter the following: regsvr32 \\fs3\d\comet\cometlib.dll You must use the UNC name, no drive letters. Presto, Comet Explorer and DocMgr works on Vista!! Between myself and Barb somehow we came up with this gem...
