When using PCL for printing in HP mode, there's a printer job language called JPL.
Typically you start your job with a universal escape sequence [ESC]%-12345X@PJL
Searching on the web I found this for Canon & PJL: http://www.digitalissues.co.uk/html/software/utils/pcl_page7.html
which contains this:
== Begin Quote ==
Here is a very basic example of a PJL job.
Notice there is no @PJL or the PJL COMMENT CANPJL SET ... got my attention, a further search on CANPJL gave me the link bellow (one of my clients uses a Canon ImageRUNNER 4570) so in the link bellow I found this: == Begin Quote == == and == @PJL COMMENT CANPJL SET USERID = 1111 from this page: http://www.digitalissues.co.uk/html/software/utils/canpjl.html Hope this will help you - This will work only in :RAW mode
Each file can be a maximum of 1MB in length Uploaded files will be purged from the server on a regular basis.
@PJL SET DUPLEX=ON
@PJL COMMENT CANPJL SET STAPLE=TWOLEFT
@PJL ENTER LANGUAGE=PCL
== End Quote==
For example, insert this into the Job stream header
@PJL COMMENT CANPJL SET DEVICE = MAILBOX
@PJL COMMENT CANPJL SET MAILBOXNUMBER = 00
@PJL COMMENT CANPJL SET USERNAME = steve
@PJL COMMENT CANPJL SET USERPWD = 1234
== End Quote ==
