We are working on switching from using printers to using copiers for all of out printing needs (Copiers are MUCH cheaper in the long run). For example I have a copier setup as Printer = LP8,W,N,,\\server\LP8:RAW,,;. This works good most of the time. But the copiers have an interesting option that I am trying to use. Mailboxes! I have set these up and everyone who prints to this printer print to their mailbox instead of printing to paper. When they have time they go and print out their paper work. Saves time, paper and money. This works great for every program we use EXCEPT Comet. I have tried every combination of settings I can think of and still cannot get Comet to print to a mailbox. It just ignores the settings and prints directly to the printer. Before I get asked, I need the RAW option because I use PCL commands to print various forms (even though I have tried without it). Canon suggested that Comet ignores the printer driver in some way because all other programs work. True? Am I just missing something? Anyone got any ideas?
