I agree with Grant.
Locked file should remain locked to other users. Otherwise an F1-Help lookup would be enough to terminate the file lock.
If the file remain locked because user is out to lunch, then either rethink the procedure or slap the user silly!
The programemr should decide who lives or die.
Each file can be a maximum of 1MB in length Uploaded files will be purged from the server on a regular basis.
