Problem with letter using an accent

We are in process to auto send EMAIL by using the Mnemonic email, for our french customer we need to use letter like à, é, è, but all letter that we have use accent are replace by an other letter or character. Can we use the Mnemonic email to send letter like : à, é, ect.
