Neil!! Here's my experience. Wish good luck with your competitor. Squash them like a bug!!! Kick them, punch them, show no mercy!! Claim they're idiots!! But do so in a business manner.. Be polite while kicking their A__! Windows 98 is basically Fancy DOS. Serial printers, today, aren't dominant. It's USB today.. Have a client that can't part with their Qantel 5090 Serial printer (it's 25 years old and still kicking at an industrial level). When going from Win/98 to Win/2000 and still support this printer, OUCH!! Win/98 is DOS, Win/2000 ain't. Get caught up to Win/2000. Managed to still make 5090 work, but took some effort. This will give you a few years. Win/2000 works fine with XP and Vista. Just don't push things too far. OLD with OLD. NEW with the NEW.
