Does nayone remeber where the compatability chart for versionsw of Comet and Windows is hiding ?
For years we have had a pc running W98 down in the printer room driving a superfast serial printer, which bangs out our invoices and statements in no time.
Halfway thru today it came up with an Error "cosc was unable to perform the file operation" The operator that has run that system for years left last FRiday and there is a new girl who knows next to nothing.
We reboote everything, still no go. I figured something may have becone corrupted so did a reinstall of Comet, Whoops, we are running comet 2007 and now it is telling me that we have the wrong platform.
Heaven knows what I was doing before to keep the old girl runningm but running it was until 11.30 this morning.
The file opeartion may have been that thing that happens betrween workstations and the server.
Who can remember, maybe it is good that they are retiring me.
