No not at all.
Having DATA spread out all over the place in individual client PC's would be a disaster waiting to happen and a management nightmare.
Even if I did have a way to identify who, was sending what, to whom.

We are using the Comet Server to store Scanned Images of documents, vendor invoices, client purchase orders, etc.
Which, while still a work in progress, does work right now.
(Without a progress bar in a Comet Client, I am displaying an extended window to let user know what is happening, and then removing the window after the copyfile completes.)

An IB program starts the scanning process, passing info to a VB Program.
Documents are scanned at a client PC Comet(local)(/CometAnywhere(local or remote) to the local hard drive.
They are then COPYFILed to the CometServer for Storage.

For Viewing, In an IB program, user selects Vendor Invoice to view, IB program gets the filename for the selected image and the image is COPYFILed back to the users PC temp directory the IB program then lauches a VB program to view the image.
