The WAR is the battle between OLDER and NEWER. The OLDER way: Generate Invoices, printing them out, stuffing them in envelopes, printing the address, postage and then mailing. A NEWER way: Generate Invoices and E-mailing them. DONE! Guess what I'm go'in to do?? Another example. The OLDER way: Through the mail, generate a stack of checks so you have to enter them manually through Cash Receipts Entry. Checks don't come in a timely fashion. A few today, some more tomorrow and so forth. The NEWER way: Pay Invoices on-line via a credit card OR auto-withdraw from a checking account or Debit card. AGREED!! For the A/R Department, this seems to greatly reduce efforts to keep up with the books. My opinion is that you NEVER want to give up data control to the CLOUD! Local control of data MUST be maintained if YOU want to be in CONTROL. Giving this up to the CLOUD? No way!! Then we sacrifice ourselves because we agree to give up control of our own business data. Comet has these solutions today. Consider to implement or be replaced by the CLOUD. For Cash Receipts, does anyone have a credit card Cash Receipts app?? Would like KISS method...
