Jim,
The reason for wanting to know if the file has been modified is so we can copy the existing document as a history version before we replace the file with the new version. With the full version of Adobe, pages can be added and deleted. This gives us the option to always view the original document and the history of changes to it.

To be more precise with the comparision of files that resulted in the errors, 22,80, the source file is on my local computer (C:\Scan\test.pdf) and the destination file is on the Comet Server (\\Cometserver\C$\Invoices\test.pdf). The flags are set to compare the local (no alias) to the server using CAW (1+64+256). Source from CAW local computer (1), compare dates (64), and indicate if different (256. This CAW user and the Comet Server are in the same office, time zones are not different. The CAW user is using a Vista laptop and the Server is 2003. The results from this test end up 22,80.
If I reverse the comparison and use flags (64+256+512) then I get error results of 3,80.

Something to take into consideration is we have the CA Host on the Comet Server.
