We have the exact same setup as you and have the exact same problem. We do not seem to have issues on the XAP server however because we have other programs running on the other partitions.
I found if you have a program that constantly runs on the client, we do not get the timeouts.
I have pretty much ruled out the network. Our TEST4's still run in the 2-5 second range. It must be the way the NLM and cosw talk to each other.
Our VAR has gone to Signature, they told us the old /K is not active anymore so that won't solve our problem. Seems to have gone on deaf ears since it's not widespread enough.
