With the dongles if one goes bad or you need to switch from parallel to USB we request that you return the old dongle. It's the only way we can be sure the old plug is taken out of commission. When we used the NIC we asked that you send us the NIC card if it needed to be changed. These days NIC functionality is built in to motherboards. Would we have to ask you to send us your motherboard and would you be happy about that?
