USB & Vista

I am trying to load to Vista home on a laptop. I am using cometserver804 for the USB install. The installation seems to run without a problem, but the security server and file manager icons have red slashes thru them when the laptop reboots. Server consoles on both just say 'stopped'. If I terminate both from the server icon consoles, and then run csecsrv.exe, I get the following errors: 'Bind error:TCP/IP address or port already in use. Shutting down Comet Security Server.' The next error is: 'Createpipe failed:5' and the icons do not appear in the system tray.

I would assume that the port the USB plug is looking for (11750, according to some previous posts) is being used by the system. I do not know how to verify that it is being used or if it is available.

Is my assumption correct? Does anyone know how to verify this on a Vista machine and then how to change what ever is on that port to a different port so the security USB plug may be read?

Thanks for any help.
