After seeing so much whining on this forum about how some of the Signature provided tools are not up to the satisfaction of everyone I thought that maybe it is time that we start our own Open-Source projects.

I hereby suggest that we set-up and Open-Source community where us the people can work together in enhancing and promoting the value and level of enhancements to Signatures products.

These projects would be for all the current open-source products supplied by Signature. This would exclude the Comet OS and some of the Confidential property of Signature (like the Compiler and some of the utilities).

I've never participated in an open-source community but would assume that for any given project their would be one person overseeing the cooperatives efforts to incorporate all changes in the final sources and objects (package).

With this kind of project, the Nova, SuperNova and the other help/lookups could get a major facelift and be brought to the current millennium.

This kind of collaboration would help all Comet Dealers to bring our systems offering with a better experience and be able to properly compete with all the Jones out there. The Windows controls are available to us, lets pull together and get them working for us.

This is my opinion.

Robert
