Way back when I started my Windows print projects, I too used CFORM as a model. But, I decided against the DES method. I created an INC file with the invoice artwork and added that to my invoice print program. Then to the invoice history inquiry's reprint option. As Comet evolved I kept adding the INC. So now I can print, fax, and email an invoice and they all look the same because they all use the same INC.
I think direct faxing is on the wane. It's being replaced by Internet fax services. See screen shot from Word 2007. You can do both of these from Comet with the EmailPtr.
I use eFax for my faxing (very few in and almost zero out) because they also do voice mail. I receive faxes as PDF's and voice mail as WAV's in Outlook.
Small picture. Don't use all those TWIP fractions. I use (1.125 * TWIP.INCH). Saves a lot of typing.
