I'm going to recommend that the writeup for the clients avoid the stream-of-consciousness, the capitals for emphasis and the rants. I hear what you're saying - but let's take a closer look. I don't know how many of my end-users are on Win2000 machines but as far as I'm concerned it's unsupported. If a Win2000 user calls in with an issue we'll recommend upgrade or replacement of the PC. If that can't be done all work is billable at a hefty rate. So we're really talking about XP Pro and Vista machines. We'll soon be dealing with Win7 machines. And you didn't even mention the Server OS releases. Yep, the new releases come out, Signature adjusts Comet for them, vendors work their way through them and life goes on. Not much else to say except this - the fact that MS continually releases new version of the desktop & server OS has made our Comet subscription pitch a cinch, it goes like this - "We'll stop asking you to subscribe/upgrade when MS stops bringing out new OS." The bad guy in the subscribe/upgrade issue is not PDF Systems or Signature Systems, it's Bill Gates.
