I used the DOS sort and the results of my tiny test are amazing.
When I used a file in reverse order, the 2 second job took about 1.5 seconds. My test file was not big enough to get exciting numbers.
However the size of the I00 exploded. The normal input file gave me an I00 of 521KB; using an input file in reverse order exploded the I00 to 1539KB!
