It's clear you understand the syntax requirements of the PRINTER and LAUNCH commands. Yes, PRINTER requires a file and dir name and LAUNCH requires a pathname. The PRINTER file must be a COMET file or printer. It is OPENed and PRINTed to in IB as such. There is no provision to write to a non-Comet file or device.
