At this point I am assuming that your testing on an XP system.

I agree that on XP, Comet v.396 works the same as previous versions.

For Me...
On Vista Business Systems, Comet Workstation v.396 does not work unless the Comet Server Products are installed also.
In which case the Comet File Server WILL be running as a service and my observations as first posted hold true.
