ESC codes have to run to a RAW printer. ":RAW" in the SYSGEN files tells Comet to send the print output directly to the printer as is (hence raw). RAW print jobs can go to QSPOOL.
Comet uses the Font Selection to put a "wrapper" around cooked print jobs. I make Font-0 17CPI. That gives me an instant way to print "green bar" reports on laser printers with no program changes. Since there are no embedded ESC or Windows Printer commands in my print jobs, I can send the print jobs to QSPOOL. The "wrapper" gets added when I despool the print job.
Other dealers set up multiple printers. LPC or such for compressed etc.
Each file can be a maximum of 1MB in length Uploaded files will be purged from the server on a regular basis.
