HTML Printer and CometAnywhere

Should I be able to use QSPOOL to unspool(print) jobs to the HTML Printer (LPH) on a Comet Anywhere client?

I found an old post from 2005 that says CED printing activates a background partition and therefore cannot print to an HTML printer. It also mentions using the Qtility DIRCAT to make sure HTML printing works correctly.

So QSPOOL also activates a background partition to unspool?

CED Program Print - Fails
CED Compile Output Print - Works
DIRCAT - Works
QSPOOL Print - Fails

Are there any workarounds to get QSPOOL to unspool to a HTML Printer?

I did see that if the VIEW option is changed to Browser, that does work on a CA Client.

p.s. on a side not as Comet32 does not support backgrounds yet, I assume that QSPOOL unspool would not work from a Comet32 client.
