We currently do all our printing directly to the HP printers in Raw mode, using PCL5 commands. We have not been able to determine a way to include a logo.

We're ready to start converting our programs to pring using "cooked" mode, using the windows printer driver to do the work. This gives you some options, including color printing, and the ability to include a logo. As an added benefit, I believe the same program could also print graphically to a PDF file. If you try that in raw mode, you just get a bunch of garbage.
