Grant's macro is really, really cool!
I read the initial posting and wondered if the issue was how to minimize the programming or how to improve the performace of the printer.
The Enter scheme deals with the programming nicely but means the printer buffer has to be loaded for each and every identical page. Does anyone know how that affects printing speed. It seems to me you could do the same thing with a For / Next loop, and print the required unique line at the bottom of the loop based on the value of the variable being incremented.
The Macro trick suggests the macro remains in the printer's memory (permanently?) so that could mean better performance. Does anyone know if it really matters? What happens when the printer does not have on board memory??
