If you want to "archive" files yourself, why not simply write a little program to move the spool jobs and modify the spool queue yourself ?

Some time ago I wrote a VisualBasic program that can read a whole QSPOOL folder and allows us to reprint a whole job or part of a job. It is specifically design to process a particular file format (in this case XML). It even allows us to select pages based on preview of key information within the document (like customer number). This VB program can be "educated" to recognize different format and with a bit of work could basically with any report. Did I mention that it runs without using Comet at all? Obviously it uses the Registry.
