A MySQL interface would be a terrific tool and just what we need for a number of clients.
Besides myself, I think there are many other users that would be happy with the MySQL interface

Maybe simple for you, but not for many of us Comet programmers....
A SIMPLE MySQL interface would be a good place to start and would provide a great tool to have available in Comet.
Later, you could find out how many people still really need the ODBC interface and then figure out what everybody needs and design the more robust interface......
Meanwhile, the rest of us can all be using the simple MySQL interface.
