1. Win ME and Comet don't get along. Have you tried booting the PC into DOS to see if Comet will work.
2. The dongle will be troublesome if there's a printer using the port too. One reason why Signature developed the USB dongle.
3. 503? Way past time to upgrade. Signature's running a great deal on upgrading to Comet 2004.
