Resistance is futile!

Keith, like you I'm still on CED.

Nearly all my sources and customer's sources are in CED format. I converted a full set of sources to UE a while back, and found that the conversion utility was not up to the task (as far as renaming sources and usefiles). Looks like every software shop has their own naming convention. I did end up writing my own conversion utility.

One thing I really got to appreciate using dot-IBS and dot-INC text files, is that the horrendous Windows Search makes it a snap to find "something or some variable" in all the sources. I have a utility that does that. but it takes 10-15 minutes whereas Windoze Search does it in seconds.

I also use UltraEdit, but that is for a limited number of projects. I will probably start using more of UltraEdit once I start using Comet32. I really look forward to larger than 254 string variables and more that 1K formats and more than 10K-minus-one arrays. I could also use programs that have more than 56K of variables AND more than 64K of code. Big is beautiful - LOL

In all cases I still enjoy CED and the predictable line numbers... beats scrolling thru code all the time to find a routine that I know on which line it is in CED.
