As far as I know, there is no issue with win7/server7. You can even run Comet2009 under windows 7 in compatibility mode for XP. It is just that we as a company cannot support so many platforms at once. Some older versions of Comet will even try to work with vista, win7 and server 2008 r2 in native mode. Of course we can't support that since we can't make any changes in such older systems if a problem is found. We ARE committed to making Comet 2010 compatible with win7 and server 2008 r2, but not Comet 2009.

We have been working for almost 7 years to make Comet compatible with 64 bit platforms. The first beta release of that system happened in Comet 2009, and we continue to make improvements in Comet 2010. We expect to remove beta status from the c32 runtime by April. Until then we will support all of our customers who have 64 bit platforms to the best of our abilities.
