With this setting turn on, when you have CAPS LOCK on (as in running old Comet programs that think you're a VT-3!) and you pop over to look at your email and then start typing, because CAPS LOCK is on, pressing Shift gives you lower case.
This hack makes the shift key disable the CAPS LOCK smoothly.
True, when you go back to being a VT-3 you need to enable CAPS LOCK again but at least your emails don't look wEIRD.
