You've mentioned the main point. You're using SCSI and SAS. If it's this BIG and cheap, share it. SAS Institute?? Ok, what's this level? So far, I'll agree with your approach for BIG to an extent. SCSI/SAS/RAID 5 is $$'s. I've got a RAID 5 1.5 TB, WINDOWS 2008 Server at my office. Was expensive considering other solutions, but I made a decision. Same storage capability exists at much, today, lower/cheaper rates. Your choice??
