Don't be too concerned with the version number. I find it helps, sometimes, when the date/time stamp is messed up. Otherwise its an embarassment when it gets too high :)

If you erase the OBJ and do another compile, the version number is reset. I periodically do a mass OBJ delete and recompile of each of my customers' OBJ's just to be sure they have a good, clean set.
