Where does the actual version number exist:

in the object header (somehow)
in QDIR (yet another suspect)
behind the curtain (where the Wizard of Oz told us not to pay attention)

is there any way to "roll it back"?

I got carried away adding features to a program and noticed the "new and improved" version is about 35 numbers beyond the one I'm replacing it with... don't want to scare the users :(

For the next program, my New Year's resolution is to create T.OBJ for testing, and then, when the dust has cleared, finally create .OBJ with a much smaller delta in the version numbers.

Any ideas?

Finally, your Help has been very welcome by a new user like myself in 2009! Hope to see you when you're here in the Big Apple in 2010!

Thanx and Happy Holidays 2 all!

Bob "A"
