Here's my take on Puch/Pop Font...

You have a report printing in LetterGothic 12pts
You need bold or title or something
You Push your Font
Create a new Font
Print your Bold or title or something
You Pop the Font to go back to your report font.

Is you ever need to print Bold or title or something, you have to start over and Push, re-create the new Font, Use it, Pop the old and start over ERVERY TIME!

It basically saves you from Create a Report Font, Create a Bold (or title or something), Re-Create Report Font, Re-Create Bold (or title or somtin'), Re-Create Report Font...

So the great saving is that ONE font can be saved and re-used.

Now, it is easy to be critical. Better to offer a solution:

How about Comet grabs the Font Handle when it is created and make it available to us. We could then use the generic (SelectSystemFont={handle}). We already have fonts 1, 2 and 3 available (which by the way might be a speedier way to use font if you always print same size reports with same size bold or title or something).

All my Windows report use at least TWO fonts, some use a lot more. I will use ALL the different fonts in every single page, and sometime will switch font in the middle of a line.

Using font handles could/would allow windows to generate the fonts only once per print session.

I'd also would like to point out that the performance, for the same printer, will vary depending if you use the Generic or PCL drivers or the PostScript driver. Maybe it has something to do with the way fonts are generated.
