Bob:
Take a look a CUTLCPY. It's handy routine that you can use to move files created in Comet to non-Comet folders.
Basically, you CRAETE the file in Comet on whatever directory you want. TMP is a good choise as every user has their own. Plug the file with data. At the end, feed the file name, dir, and destination folder info to CUTLCPY and away it goes to the destination. You can then delete the Comet file to tidy up. Since you now have the full path & file information for the destination you can LAUNCH the file for the user.
For instance, you CREATE "MTDSALES.CSV" on TMP. Write the MTD data into the file. Close the file. Feed CUTLCPY with the info it needs. When the copy is done. LAUNCH the file from the destination folder. Excel will pop up with the file loaded.
You can also do a lot of this yourself with FileCopy.
Each file can be a maximum of 1MB in length Uploaded files will be purged from the server on a regular basis.
