I have a customer with a directory that contains about 7,000 identical history files. The QDIR in that directory got smashed this week -- it is broken in six places.
How do I fix this mess?
Of course they don't have backups.
And, no I did not design this but I have known about it for years and never got to developing a method of cleaning up the ancient junk.
Meanwhile QDIRBILD is not an answer. Scrolling through 15 files at at time would be a career if I tried to fix the system that way.
Any ideas would be gratefully appreciated.
