Read status will be returned so long as it is done in a loop (at least two consecutive calls must be made to the sts(Lun) function). This is different from Qantel which would work anytime. As for the Tab/Enter key issue - it shouldn't matter. If a read would be generated under normal conditions (e.g., encounters a TM or equivalent), it should work using the sts() function.
