Heads up for Remote Desktop support - We have a number of new servers going in at end-users with Windows Server 2008 & Hyper-V. Most IT support personnel are no longer willing to install PCAnywhere or UltraVNC over the Internet so support is by Remote Desktop. I was connected up to and end-user in this environment, to the Virtual Machine that's running their CometAnywhere host. I inadvertantly hit LogOff as opposed to Disconnect. The system warned that Comet needed to be halted first, followed by an OS message saying that Logging off will terminate running programs. I selected Cancel instead of logging off and the CometAnywhere icon remained in view. As it turns out the session was hung up and all remote users were disconnected. It seems Comet was somehow disconnected even though the logoff never went through. No error message of any kind. Had to kill cosw.exe in the Task Manager & restart.
