Now I can generate an error.... Comet Error: 90/DOS Function 40/DOS Error 80 (50h) which is file already exists

this is generated at the point I'm trying to do the dummy create.

when is the QDIR.DIR and QDIR.I00 created? I think the ACCESS was fine, since I check for any non-zero EXCP and then put a message on the console (0). However,

1) there's no message on the console
2) there's no QDIR.DIR or QDIR.I00 in the folder

I've tried deleting the folder and all its contents, re-creating the folder, repopulating the folder with the input file, but the create error persists.

not sure why COMET didn't just trap the DOS error of 80 and return an EXCP of 12.

Thanx

Bob "A"
