If I understand what you're trying to do, this should work. I wrote a program to do something like that and it did work. My program did an ACCESS of a non-Comet folder. This caused the empty QDIR to be created. Now it's a Comet folder. Then I did a CREATE for the already-existing .csv file in that folder just to get the QDIR entry built. This worked. Be sure to trap the E13 you'll get because the file already exists.

How is this different from what you're doing?
