I have an end-user running 10.3 services, Comet2010 419/07.01 Yes, I know that it's an old REL/UTL, we have that issue a lot as we attempt to migrate old Reporter users to CDE. The end-user has had the following issue occur three times in the last week: User is running Vista Business PC. They go into CDE and go into the DB Manager. The scroll down to find order.open.d, our Open Order detail line file, and they click on Excel view. No Excel spreadsheet comes up and their Comet "freezes". The system is cleared, I expect with a reboot, at which point the order.open.d.d00 file in their datafile directory is still there but empty, zero bytes. I connect up, delete the empty file, establish a new definition and they can run again. This cycle has occurred three times in the last week. I would be happy to bring them up to the current version of CDE if there's a DIY on how to do so. I don't believe they do much more than getting an Excel of the entire file so I don't know how much conversion is involved. Any advice??
