Thanks for the information. It appears as if I need to screen all strings prior to writting them to the table and add the escape to the double quote or single quote depending on how the phrase is structured. It's not that big a problem. Since you seem to have a grasp on this stuff, perhaps you can shed some light on NULL's. There are cases where I can't read table records with NULLS. I haven't really researched it extensively but if you have experiance with this maybe you can refer me to that information as well. Then there's binary fields. Have you have trouble with them?? Thanks again for the help.
